Hi, I’m glad you’re here.

Sometimes it can be really challenging to make time for ourselves and for our mental health. It's even more difficult when our identities and culture held no space for our feelings or emotions. We may have had our boundaries crossed, our feelings invalidated, felt that unrealistic expectations were placed onto us, and experienced love that was contingent on our productivity or success. At the same time, this was the norm.

We might have felt sad, but we kept it to ourselves.
We might have been hurt or traumatized, but we kept going like business-as-usual.
We might have needed help, but we felt like we needed to do it on our own.
We might have wanted to rest or slow down, but our fast-paced minds keep us up at night.

In our work together, I'll honor the past and present experiences that make you you. I'll support you in finding growth, healing, and meaningful change in your life and in your relationships. We’ll challenge the intergenerational patterns that no longer serve you, and we’ll work with the ones that do. My role is to support you in identifying your strengths, reprocess traumatic experiences, help you connect with your identity, and find ways to embody the values that mean the most to you.

More Information About Me

My pronouns are (she/her) I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist CA #144375 & WA # MG61247524. I specialize in working with partners & couples, and in the treatment of trauma.

I am trained in Narrative therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples & partners, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and trauma-informed yoga, and I incorporate techniques that work for each individual client. My work focuses on Body-based (somatic) healing methods, mindful self-compassion, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, healing the inner-child, race-based stress and traumatic injury, intergenerational trauma, racial identity development, gender and sexual identity development, adjustment and life transitions, dissociation, mood and thought disorders.

I believe that healing and transformation are possible when we work with the whole self, including the mind, body, and spirit, and so I integrate mindfulness exercises and body-inclusive movement as a way to practice grounding, soothe the nervous system, increase body awareness, and explore embodiment through sensation and movement.

As your therapist, my role is to support your mental health journey. I am here to honor the experiences that make you, you, support your strengths, reprocess traumatic experiences, help you let go of what no longer serves you, and find creative ways to embody the values that mean the most to you. I will teach you skills to manage difficult emotions, and mental health-related body sensations, like those associated with anxiety, depression and ptsd. I aim to make my work accessible and equitable to all races, genders, abilities, and identities through using inclusive language, offering a variety of therapeutic modalities and collaborating with and honoring my clients.

Our work: making the inaccessible, accessible. Making the burden lighter. Making the “hard to envision” seeable. Making the “impossible to fathom,” real and tangible. Making our communities safer. Lifting our people higher. Loving our wounds deeper.

This is the work.
