About Mindy
Hi! My name is Mindy (she/her) and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (LMFT #144375), Illinois (LMFT #166011892), and Washington (LMFT #LF61524527).
I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and relationships, with a focus on the treatment of trauma.
I bring a deep passion for supporting clients at the intersection of multiple identities and lived experiences, particularly where these connect with the impacts of intergenerational and attachment-based trauma. I also provide affirming care for folks in the LGBTQ+ community, people exploring or practicing polyamory and nonmonogamy, as well as support for those who are exploring their neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism).
I am trained in Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples & relationships, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and trauma-informed yoga, and I incorporate approaches that fit each client’s unique needs. My work centers body-based (somatic) healing methods, mindful self-compassion, and trauma recovery, including support for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, inner-child healing, race-based stress and traumatic injury, intergenerational trauma, racial identity development, gender and sexual identity development, adjustment and life transitions, dissociation, mood, and thought disorders.
I believe healing and transformation are possible when we honor the whole self—mind, body, and spirit.
I integrate mindfulness exercises and body-inclusive movement to practice grounding, soothe the nervous system, increase body awareness, and explore embodiment through sensation and movement.
As your therapist, my role is to support your mental health journey. I am here to honor the experiences that make you who you are, uplift your strengths, help reprocess traumatic experiences, and let go of what no longer serves you. Together, we’ll find creative ways to embody the values that matter most to you. I’ll also teach skills for navigating difficult emotions and body-based sensations tied to anxiety, depression, and trauma. My practice is grounded in inclusivity, accessibility, and equity for all races, genders, sexualities, abilities, neurotypes, and relationship structures.
